>>1734561>want good>want it to be cheapMake up your mind. Also, get something like in this pic (Benchmade "Bushcrafter Family"). I think these were recently renamed for extra meme points.
This style doesn't have any jimping, serrations, holes on the blade face, etc that would otherwise weaken the blade. It is also full tang. It's shape is great for general use; cooking, butchering, woodworking, bushcrafting, etc. I'd recommend one that has wood scales, isn't stainless steel, but has this basic design.
The 202 Leuku here
>>1734694 is very similar, but is not full tang; which is its only failing for a camping/bushcrafting knife that will see serious use.
Keep in mind that you want a knife that isn't going to hold its edge super well. This is because a softer steel will be more durable than a harder more brittle blade.
>>1734860While these are great, I have a couple, they are really best used for kitchen duty. Their blade thickness just isn't up to camp duty. It's point shape isn't good for some camp/bushcraft tasks either.
If you use good whetstones these are amazing. If you cut yourself you won't even know it until there's blood everywhere. I had to put mine away because the 2 cooks here kept cutting themselves pretty seriously with them. They went back to using the easily dulled SS knives. lol
>>1735913This is a quality pocket knife, but only if it has the S30V stainless and not the 420 stainless. There's a drop point version of that too.
