>>1236813>>1236426You can be cheap about it to get into it.....but desu I've gone through 2 cheap vices in that many years. If you're willing to spend the money up front you can get a nice lifelong rotary vice for 90 bucks (check out the Griffin Odyssey vice on Cabela's site)
Materials can be "pricey" but it's relative. You can tie a 9 dollar fly out of 75 cents worth of material and make quite a few of them. I've never been able to cheaply/efficiently make a 9 dollar lure.
