I recently did a 4 night trip sleeping between 9k and 11.5k feet. I usually live and sleep at around 3.5k, and I really believe the abrupt elevation change had a serious effect on my ability to fall and stay asleep. I was tired as fuck too - 10 to 12 mile days with a lot of vertical change. Noticed my appetite was pretty mellowed as well, but I had no headache, and didn't think that it was altitude sickness, but it probably was in retrospect.
Sleep loss wasn't helped by the fact that I had bears in my camp 2 of those nights kek
