My first barefoot hiking experience:
>be inna California
>get a few friends together for a fuck yeah barefoot hike
>show up at the trail around 3:30PM
>step onto the trail
>"these rocks are kind of sharp, but this isn't so bad"
>trail gets progressively more painful
>finally get used to it by the time we reach a dam marking the halfway point
>take a 15 minute break
>get up and stand on the trail again
>absolutely agonizing
>by about 6:40PM, we make it back out
>feet bleeding
>first barefoot hike: six miles
>no regrets
We also bagged a rattlesnake with a slingshot (albeit, throwing the slingshot at the snake)
