Good choice OP, they are solid radios considering how cheap they are. Ausfag here, downloaded some CHIRP file from a caravanning forum to program it into a basic UHF 80 channel for aussie land. Weird thing is, if I set it to scan mode sometimes I pick up on channel 81 with some bizzare chat yet cannot access it manually. Inb4 it's accessing a channel it shouldn't. And anon who wants to know the range of this whip, still haven't been able to test it.
