Might be ok if you're just writing "get milk" or whatever but with a notepad you can draw pictures or diagrams, write equations easily etc. You can also easily group like items by just writing them on the same part of the page, in an app you've got to fuck about with tabs or whatever. Something very important? Write it bigger. Two things turn out to be linked? Draw a line between them. Want to give someone else information? Tear a page out. Want to make a note of something you're reading on your phone or someone is telling you on the phone? No fucking about with apps just transcribe it.
Yeah you can do all this on a phone if you want but I looked for a long time for an app that did everything in a way that made sense to me and I couldn't get on with any of them. Then I got a job where I couldn't have my phone with me so I bought a notebook and realised that's what I wanted all along.
