Apparently its to favor the Australian distributor, which happens to be Sea to Summit. Except sea to summit dont bother listing any Mystery Ranch gear.
So if you want a new MR for a normal price, you either have to find a shipping forwarder who will bypass the ban or have a friend overseas to do it for you.
Id look at Stone Glacier, Kifaru, Kuiu. Except they're prices are stupid expensive, even if with direct shipping.
