>>333016I've only done an anchor trolley and cart so far, but I will suggest that before you make any mods whatsoever, crawl inside the bow as far as you can and reach your arm out as far as possible so you know the furthest point you can drill something, unless you use something like a self tapping screw.
I just used 2 eye screws, secured horizontally, with a bolt and washer on the inside to hold my anchor trolley line. I used a metal ring from the hardware store to hold the anchor line, but I'm going to switch it to a carabiner to make it easier to detach the anchor line.
My anchor is a solid 5lb lifting weight tied onto a poly rope which I knotted every foot (and seared the knots with a lighter since poly doesn't like to stay put) for a poor-man's depth finder. I keep the line wound on the plastic hanger sort of thing that came with the rope.
Just what I've learned so far, but I'm very into the idea of DIY yak mods so I'll be watching the thread.
