>>2406545I don’t know about kidney beans. I usually eat pintos. Your supposed to let them soak overnight but it’s not required. I haven’t made them in a long time but I just let them simmer until they’re done. I don’t remember it being over an hour for a big pot. For extra goodness toss some smoked ham in to cook with them. In some areas of the country they sell country ham. It’s shelf stable but you have to cook it before eating it. I’d imagine it’d be good with beans.
