>>1708866Because I work for a state government. If the modern world is fucked enough to warrant bugging out then its kinda my responsibility to at least try to fix it. Peacing out is kinda a bitch move when it's your job however small, to be responsible for the modern world. Also at least in my experience growing up in SoCal, most people (mindless consumers included) are dissatisfied with the modern world and want to be more /out/ in some way, shape or form. They all just lack the wherewithal to actually do it or the power to change their surroundings. I know they deserve better than this. Don't we at least owe it to each-other to put in the work to making the modern world a little less shit than taking the cowards way out and literally running for the hills? I'll leave everything behind when the work is done, even though it might never be done.
