Competitiveness with natural features is really fucking stupid and immature imo. Why disparage this beautiful environment because it isnt exactly like another one? I get something like preferring Colorado over Kansas for /out/ings of course, but no one is making you choose one or the other or rank them or whatever. Just feels like a shitty way of thinking about these things. The Appalachians are beautiful and full of history and character, and I'm glad we have the variety available.
