They even raised her child as her brother. There's no such thing as an evil religion, but there ARE people who use religion as an excuse to perform heinous acts against their fellow men. It doesn't matter if you're Christian, Jew, or Muslim, every side has done evil in the name of the lord in one way or another. I highly doubt religion was even the main motivation in this crime, sounds more like a random act of violence.
