Some of them have built-in topo maps ("t" in the model)
Some have sensor package (3-axis compass and baro sensor, "s" in model)
Faster processor (marginally faster, not noticeable with as much shit as they added to the firmware), 2GB internal memory iirc (that's what my 78 has anyways), wireless data sharing, raster image overlay (aerial photos, scanned trail maps, etc).
The image overlay is a really neat feature, but the rest of the GPS is such a pain in the ass to use it's not worth keeping IMO.
Copying maps/files out of storage to my 76's datacard now. Just got it all set up to my liking.
