I prefer to stay at airbnbs or cabin rentals (skip airbnb's 20% cut where possible) when I hike. I get wifi (usually), a decent bed, some sort of primitive cooling and heating usually, a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and oven (one didn't have an oven it sucked) - and of course the best of all, a sink and a flush toilet and shower.
You can still accomplish a lot outdoors during the day and just return to your lodging to sleep.
Does anyone else enjoy doing this?
