>>1867003I went on a overnight-camp with a couple buddies when i was like 15-16. Temps were only a bit below freezing but there was decent snow. We had a lean-to shelter made from a tarp but it was surprisingly warm to sleep in. We ended up staying awake almost the whole night on other business tho. Mild heatenings during the dark hours. In the morning we fried two packs of bacon for breakfast, still in our bags and ate it like animals. Overall 3/5 experience, not my favourite time of the year for camping due to the dampness.
After that i had multiple outings in the army during the winter, we had a heated tent tho so it was nothing really.
