This is at least a 50L pack. Way overkill for a day, unless you're like me and carry a Nikon, couple extra lenses, tripods, strobes, tools, extra fluids/fuel, a change of clothes, extra gloves, etc etc...
Why is that so critical? Get a motorcycle/ATV cargo net and tie it on. Or buckle the chin strap through a loop on the pack.
Or get a pacsafe net and secure it to your bike.
Or swing by a cop shop or sporting goods store and pick up a gun lock, use that to secure the helmet to your bike. Half the time they give those fuckers away.
