>>1897573But look at they suffer. At first I thought it was downy mildew, but it wouldn't go away no matter how much I sprayed it with neem. Then I thought it was the nutrient deficiency, but even after application, the spots and yellowing are still occuring. Then I thought it was just bug feeding, but I haven't seen any bugs around. It's too chilly now for them, so now I'm back to the mildew. The neem hasn't done shit, however it has been exceedingly effective against the powdery mildew that's been showing its unwanted face on several leaves. All gone now, so now it's just this downy mildew the plants are having to bear through.
It's almost end of their season anyways, and the infection seems pretty slow spreading, as you can see it's only affected a handful of the leaves while the others remain (relatively) pristine. So I guess I'm ultimately not too worried about it this year. Just as long as the pumpkins finish in time, then I'll burn them.
