I do carry more food, typically about four days worth, Ive stayed innawoods 3 weeks with this kit with 7 days of mountain house.
Blue : Extra water/aid/fire/capacity and or transport
when I need to travel by road short distances(to and from town) or need extra water. Can be strapped to pack together also
Red: hunting/ shtf.
Can easily stay innawoods for months (game dependent) usually gets used on hunting trips 7-10 days. 200 rnds is plenty in case of disaster.
My rain jacket and colt Ar-15 arent pictured (dads on hunting trip) It takes the place of the 22 when needed.
This setup weighs between 15-30 pounds dependent on the firearms/climate/needs, not including worn clothing.
My winter setup is much bigger, weighs about 40 lbs.
I will be replacing some things with lighter alternatives.(sheet,lantern,tent,etc.)
If anybody wants names of certain things just ask. I'm open to suggestions aswell. The backpack is about 30 litres
