Anyway OP I think a kilt is a great idea. Wool baselayer leggings with leg wraps (for protecting the fine knit from snags) is what I'd do if I were you in winter. In fact that's what I'd do with my tunic. I like the aesthetic, it's functional and comfortable, and I'm not even a larp fag. I just know good things when I see them.
I'm pairing a cowboy hat with mine and you should do the same. Medieval cowboy is a new trend
