>>1769372>>1769392I assume you're the same anon, but 5 ft lbs in .177 is what you need minimum. 15 ft lbs recommended. You could go with less than 5, but I've never seen anyone seriously try it, just "I did it when I was a kid". I personally wouldn't use a pellet handgun, but the pic OP uploaded has some good aftermarket mods.
>>1769376Use a scope, 4x. Shoot at the longest range you can get a hit within a 1/2" circle. Set up dollar store spoons (for pellets) if paper is getting boring. Put a dot in the middle. Warning you now you may lose them in a few shots. I'll put up a picture of a spoon bent as you should bend it in the next reply. This one is where to aim on a squirrel. I assume either you have problem animals (destroying property, need to do pest control, etc) or you're getting into hunting them. Look up how Ted's Holdover cooks them. Skin, gut, rinse, marinade in the fridge for a few days, cook up with stick butter in a pan.
>I've heard oil filters work well, what have you heard? On a .22, maybe. But to be legal, you have to get a tax stamp, pay the $200, etc. Look it up on YouTube. And yes, even on an oil filter, legally you have to pay the $200 for the stamp, otherwise it's a felony. And it'll take a few months to go through. At that point, just buy a good one from a reputable company. It'll cost a few hundred, so if you don't have it, just go with a pellet rifle if hearing safe noise level is your concern.
