Ahhhhh....jabuz...this thread is triggering all o' me sea-urgings! Caught the tallship bug in 1990. Went to Denmark to work w this crazy American on his 1928 Baltic Schooner Johanna. Never got to sail her...she was derigged. Meget hyggliet belowdecks. She got repo'd (long story). Sailed also on Hawaiian Chieftain out of Sausolito, CA off and on over ten yrs. Got aboard 'HMS' Rose for filming of 'Master And Commander' in 2002, thdn the Lady Washington for the first Pirates of the Caribbean. Took her down to St. Vincent for three months and back. Went thru Panama Canal on Christmas Day, 2002. Think you can see it on YT. Got to double for Johnny Depp a coupla times. I'm skinny.
Man, there's nothing to compare to a ship under full sail, stu'n'sls flyin', everyone moving as a single organism...I've never been stronger than when aboard. Time to re-up---fuck this rat-race shit!
