>>1636507You can just borrow gear to see if you like it. Do you have friends that go /out/? Tag along. It doesn’t have to be expensive. If you want to buy gear you can get a decent tent for $50. It won’t be light but will keep the rain off of you and if you do find a car you can just bring blankets from around the house and an inexpensive foam mat. If friends aren’t going then the car is the tough one.. I bet you could take a bus to a state park.
