>>64091The great thing about fishing is that when you walk into your local tackle store, the assistant/owner is more than happy to address any and all questions you may have and what gear you can buy for your budget/style of fishing, as well as give good advice (and tell you stories, all fishermen love to tell stories). Granted, this isn't as common in massive chain stores but that goes without saying. I suggest going down to the nearest tackle shop with a few bucks and starting from there. Just make sure to avoid cheap no name rod combos spooled with fishing line that you can snap with your hands.
