Just finished a 10 day trip with my wife and kids (2yo girl, 6yo boy). First day took us from home (west Texas) to the Arkansas border.
Next day we went through Hot Springs NP to Memphis for supper on Beale Street then on to Mammoth Cave NP for two days, one in the cave and one on the river and driving to Cade's Cove at Great Smoky Mountains NP.
Three days in GSMNP, then out to Charleston, SC for a day on the Atlantic Ocean.
Then a mad dash home staying at Birmingham, AL and Tyler, TX.
3500 miles in ten days and only 1 time the kids blew up in the car. It was a great trip.
