>>190853A book on native ethnobotany for your area, Edible Wild Plants by John Kallas, Nature's Garden by Samuel Thayer, Prescriptions for Herbal Healing by Phyllis Balch (sounds new-agey but is pretty science based, just gives you a good base for knowing what herbs do what), a Delorme map book for your area, every National Audubon Society Field Guide of North America ever, all of their pocket guides ever, Where There is no Doctor is pretty handy in general, and then just numerous survival guides. I've heard good things about the S.A.S one. The one I read the most was a large white one with a swiss army knife, a rattle snake, and a guy with a camo painted face on the cover, but I haven't seen it in 10 years and google doesn't turn up much when I search that. Keep in mind that most books you'll want will be tailor made to your area, so the ones I named may or may not apply.
The internet is your best friend, really. I only read books because I was too young to into internet. You can get 40 gig bushcraft torrents with everything you'd ever want to know from Pirate Bay.
Good luck!
