>>1812668Hey I never called you a mall ninja, I too like LARPing around with large blades. I wouldn’t take them on an actual hiking trip or anything, but if you are building shit in the woods, why not bring some blades to play with like the man child I am?
Now I did not actually take the long sword with me in that picture. I could have since I had a sled and only a mile hike on ice to my cabin, but it’s a very expensive sword and I don’t feel like cleaning the leather and the blade if I got snow on it.
I did bring that tomahawk and machete (brush sword really) strapped to my bag with me. Even though I already had the fire wood split and ready to go from the previous summer, at lest having a small ax seemed useful. And the machete straight up is because I don’t like the idea of staying in a winter cabin alone for a week with out something that would be a decent weapon... although 90% of people walking around the woods in Maine probably have a gun on them... I really need to get into guns
This last winter I brought my ZomT D’capitan Saber with me in place of the machete for true Woods LARP... who doesn’t want to carry a sword with them through the woods?
