Like Broly's armbands without society people are the most dangerous creatures on the planet and not just the ones you live with the ones that attack your newly formed farming community with ar-15s shot from the the back of atvs. I think near to total isolation is imperative to survival. My geographic choices were trash any ideas of somewhere isolated without being extreme (like the top of Mt Everest or the middle of the Sahara)
