i'd figure that when you're not dehydrated already your pee is alright but once it gets too dark after a while not finding water it gets dehydrating but where is the flippingpoint.
I guess the rule of thumb is when the situation can possibly get fucked up; when you hesitate about your exact position on the map, when your car breaks down, when you accidentally bump over your drinking flask, when it gets dark... you better drink your own piss right away before you get dehydrated.
