So we must find a way to capture a mom right after birth, save like 20 of em, and then release into the wild.That could work anon, but these opossums start out as jelly bean, or hell, supposedly even grain of rice sized. They have to be born, immediately climb their way into the pouch (if I remember right), and find a nipple or die. Harsh. Also, I had to search "opossum young nipple" to find this.
A better way of obtaining opossum young would be to, in their mating season, drive to find roadkill opossums. Hold your breath, use some Vick's VapoRub if the smell gets to you, put some gloves on, and roll them over to find pouches. If you find young in a pouch, bring them with (or the whole opossum), and follow guides on keeping them alive. When they get old enough, put a dog carrier outside with a soft blanket with them in it and leave it open so they can come back to sleep if they want. (someone I know did that with a young squirrel they found on the ground)
