>>1176939I used to bring flip flops because putting my heavy boots on and taking them off was such a hassle since I like a really snug fit and at the end of the day I didn't want to have to dick around with them every time I wanted to crawl out of my hammock.
But I found that side-zip boots (I own the Smith and Wesson Breach 2.0s like in this pic) are really convenient, taking only a couple of seconds to put on or take off. Plus it feels nice just having them unzipped after a long hike and them still being just snug enough to wear you can walk around comfortably in them while still getting that nice air-flow.
A lot of people are skeptical of side-zip boots due to them potentially letting more water in than traditional counterparts, butt the model I have hasn't had any issues with water and the seal seems pretty tight.
