local lake is stocked with catfish and rainbow trout. i caught a big mouth bass from there before. been trying to get a trout. last 2 times ive been there, a very large fish (>10lbs) always jump around my line, wont bite
kids beside me pulled 4 catfish today.....
my setup:
2 fishing poles (nuthing special, shimano reels)
10lb vanish line
#8 hooks
light weights
bait:
was using canned corned 1st time then berkley powerbait natural scent salmon egg
going to try:
powerbait gliter turbo dough
live night crawlers
sausage (the kids that caught the catfish used this @_@ )
can corn again
those real red salmon egg things
anyone got tips? i know they bite and these guys were jumping all around my line...wouldnt bite.
