>>2298286There is some small lakes that are owned by individuals. There are public swimming beaches used by local population, but it varies. Really, there is huge amount of uses, depemding of the lake. Some lakes have extremely clean water; those are used by divers for training. Some are shallow and have sandbottoms- those are obviously great places to swim. Some lakes are near cities and near good transport routes, and they have lot of summer cottages. All of those places have usually people. But there are tens of thousands lakes that are middle of forest and have nothing- no cottages or even roads. Just their natural state. It is very rare to see people there, and if you see, they are /out/ people- hunters, bushcrafters, gatherers etc.
