I found another watermelon & the first tomatoes are ripening!
>>1305831It has proper drainage holes in the bottom and isn't clogged up and pooling water in the bottom 1/3 of the bucket is it? That's the only thing I can think that'd be wrong.
>>1305844What kind of tomato is that? Things are looking good, though looks like there was some splitting on the tomato. I had that happen to some of my yellow pear tomatoes due to torrential rains (pic).
>>1305886I've been considering peas for canning for a while now. I need to make a sheller first. What type are you growing? I was growing sugar snap peas, but those are more for eating off the vine to me.
>>1305895Cucumbers do a lot better supported on a pole or trellis. It is almost a death sentence to not string them up. It also helps keep the fruit clean and straight.
>>1305935I think most chan people post over on
420chan.org for that stuff. I think they have a grow board. Good luck!
>>1305984Not at all. Though, it depends on your soil if you'll need it or not. Mycorrhizae will break down just about any mineral source and trade it to the plant roots for sugars. Sometimes a sand source will be all that's needed because it has more than just sand in it, but if it is pure silica then it won't help except for soil conditioning. The mycorrhizae will even mine into rocks and pebbles to do the same thing. So, if your soil is bereft of a good mineral source, get some rock dust.
>>1306025Congrats. If the watermelon is laying on something, the spot underneath will turn yellow when it is ripe.
>>1306027Yeah, most people here grow outdoors and on balconies. There's a couple people who use indoor stuff for starting plants (me) or for growing full tomatoes and peppers.
>>1306028>>1306031Yes, that would work. As for attaching, it depends on if you own the property or not. Check this out,
https://youtu.be/EPYN4W8_KXc also don't drill down into the window sill, that will just open it up for rotting. Do it like in the vid.
