Another leader ruined my mess kit by putting greasy under-cooked meat patties on it.
The grease never came off even with dish soaps and it stank...
Did I have fun? Yes when I was on my own exploring shit, but when it was time to work on badges and follow the troops I had zero fun.
Now when I look at images off google about the camp, it looks so different, clean, new tents, actual concrete paths. I kinda want to volunteer to be a leader there one summer just to do what I missed out on the first time.
