A tarp and a lightweight sleeping bag will work, i've camped with those like an A-frame, or an L-frame if you want to get off the ground. If you can throw a lightweight hammock in their, you will not regret it.
Get a cheap little cooking pot, that way you can boil water and any food you can find. Things like spring onions, cambium layer, etc. Cattails are edible too. I recommend going through some webpages of all the edible plants in your geographic location and memorizing them.
Bring some small fishnet too. If you come across a stream you can pile the rocks a certain way to lead fish into a trap. If they are small enough, like minnows, you can eat them whole. Larger streams might have small river clams too, which I have eaten before. Check under rocks for crawfish, etc.
Bring 550 cord (paracord) and save every piece you use. This will allow you to tie tarps up, hang stuff up to dry, use to make snares, etc...
