My job is to take care of remote comms sites on a mountain region. Access only by ATV / snow-mobile. I work in shift with one other boomer. The shift is 4 days on, 4 days off. The 4 days on you are living on the center site where we have a kitchen and bunk and whatever else we build for ourselves. On shift is on call 24hrs/day, but not much happening. Its a government job so pay is very low. I know private tel companies have better paid contracts for maintaining their remote infrastructure, but don't have the same live on-site arrangements.
