>>314148Small update.
Since I've been behind this season, I decided to buy a few greenhouse vegetables to flesh out everything and keep up with the season. $20 netted me a flat of plants, 6 each of marigolds, broccoli/cauliflower can't remember which probably the latter, Roma tomatoes, Cherokee Purple tomatoes, romaine lettuce, Hungarian wax peppers, and sweet banana peppers.
I companion plated the brassica, tomatoes, and marigolds. I'm hoping to shade the brassica with the tomatoes.
In the blue barrel, I planted two of the pepper plants in the top, but everything else will have salad greens. I planted dandelion seeds in the top too which I'll thin out and transplant to the empty spots around the bottom.
>>317537>>317402>>317399How about taking Monsanto talk to /b/ or someplace else other than a Homegrowmen thread? We really don't need 100s of totally useless posts in our gardening threads.
>>317542>>317540>>317544Oh neat! I really need to get into doing that. Do you have various water testing kits to keep things in balance until the bacteria colonize enough to help maintain it more naturally? I want to install a system into my future greenhouse. Check out those Murray DVDs in the OP if you haven't already. They help a tremendous amount!
