>>995661And yes, except if the reel says 150yds of 8lb mono, you will probably get like 200yd+ of 10lb braid. 10lb braid is close to 4lb mono diameter I think. You can do whatever line you want on whichever reel but the limiting factors are going to be how high the drag can be set on the reel and line capacity.
Also if you don't want to waste all of that braid, do like 40-50yds of 8lb mono backing because you will still have 100yds+ of 10lb braid on there and will never even see the mono if you are fishing freshwater.
