Can anyone comment on the cheap $40 rod and reel combos, the likes seen in the thread imgur album? I fished as a boy scout, really enjoyed the experience, and would like to get back into it, but I am just a poor college student. Fishing licences are $30 in my state, and I only have about $100 to spend on getting started, so the cheap combos are tempting but I want to get something that will last me a couple light seasons.
