I'm thinking her new version may be D2, judging by the cost to steel value if she plans to keep it in a close price range. I'm somewhat curious about it, since I own a few knives in D2 already and am pretty happy with the way they perform. The handle looks comfy with it's rounded coke-bottle shape. I prefer saber grinds as long as they aren't hollow ground, which here they look to be nice and flat, but with a secondary bevel for strength. I'd convex it most likely if I ever get my hands on one. The sheath looks a lot like the ColdSteel SecureX sheath, which is an ok sheath, though in the vid they did mention an issue with the rivets dulling the knife. I've seen this before in my sheaths and have gotten around it by slicing the plastic from a 2 liter soda bottle and using it to eliminate rattling and improve the fit in the sheath.
I do think it is somewhat overpriced for AUS8, and am waiting to see what steel choice she ends up going with in the new version.
