>>608983I did not ride the GAP, unfortunately. The map doesn't show it, but I cut west from northern New Jersey into eastern Appalachia, going south through Gettysburg to Charlottesville, VA. I actually really enjoyed the Mid-Atlantic states. Northern Virginia was country club-ish, but the southern Virginia forests were great.
