I'd say it's just as efficient as a tomahawk for chopping. They're hefty enough to baton without worrying about them breaking.
Different parts of the blade can take different grinds and it made an excellent draw knife.
Not much call for machetes in England but I imagine it would stand up to some bushwhacking too.
A kukri is FUNCTIONAL for just about everything. Nothing is going to beat the proper tool for the job though.
I'll be sticking with my folding saw/hatchet/fixed blade/folder combo.
The Kukri just stays under the bedside table as a burglar-chopper-upper.
