>>2431170>I think it's sort of a noble cause but noble causes get exploited all the timeyeah i try not to think about it as a cause or even a choice. i am vegan because i consider myself equal to every other living creature on this planet, whether man or animal or insect (i mean men are also animals but you know what i mean) and as such i can't justify my own sustinence and continued existence through the death or misery of others.
it's entirely pointless though. there are what like 50 or so conglomerates which destroy the planet more in a day than i will with a thousand lifetimes. but i am who iam now, their misdeeds won't make me commit my own. i still consume plastic products and produce waste and live a life which is not 100% efficient, it kills me, but it's all i can do right now. i gotta help myself before i can help anyone else. it's selfish and it's fucked up, but i'm trying to improve my mental health and not kill myself, so maybe, in the future, i can truly do some good.
