I prefer to layer rather than pile on one heavy jacket/pants/whatever. If it's that cold, I wear a hoodie and/or thermal base layer under my jacket. it's gotta be real fuckin cold before my legs/feet get cold.

that shit's workwear, designed for people who work outside in all wx conditions. I've done oilfield and communications jobs outside for 15+ years and carhartt stuff does work.
Will agree that quality's fallen from what it used to be 10-15 years ago.
