>>152817Depends how you want to get there. If you want to be a genuine good sailor and earn a spot for an ocean race, you need to go to a yacht club and start from the bottom and work your way up.
If you want to cruise you need money, as most cruisers are self funded and generally don't care for people who actually know what they're doing.
And your final option is to make friends with a delivery master. They take yacht across seas and more or less do what you want. You can get a spot as crew and get paid so no complaints there. Again go to decently large yacht club and ask around at the bar if there is anyone needing delivery crew. Build a name and done. ( if you want to deliver racing yachts its best to be at the bar after a race).
