QRD on the 2021 Nasci, it's really good. The retrieve makes a slight amount more noise than the Stradic, but its not much. It also free-spins about 25% less long after a good crank. I would say that for $99 it is a pretty great reel. I can instantly tell it has the upgraded Hagane and Silent Drive gear train, it feels much smoother and better meshing than my sedona or the old model nasci. It feels like it is slightly heavier than the stradic in the same size, which makes sense because they claim 8.5oz vs the stradic 7.9. Time will tell how well the Core Protect shielding they are using in this one holds up to salt. I would so far say it is the best $99 reel i have used, although I think it will fill a role more in line with finesse and artificial fishing as far as salt goes. It certainly doesnt compare to the weight or sheilding of something like a battle or BG, which I'd say would be much better surf or no-maintenance reels, they just are much less pleasant to use.
