Whooping crane that I used to see fishing in my beaver pond every evening. He eventually got comfortable with me and would just ignore me and continue doing his thing when I walked by.
I didn't realize they were so endangered.
Only about 800 wild cranes today. In 1941 there was only 23 left in existence.
He should be down overwintering in Florida right now. I hope to see him again in the spring.
