>>1781631I would avoid any vg# steel as they are all to brittle wont hold an edge after it leaves your eyesight. I personally like 1428 scandvik steel. That is what the u.s. made zing, is made from. Holds a wicked edge through most any abuse you can throw at it. I dont of any makers using that steel at the moment. the flavor of the month has changed.
