>>1672865you can make something like shown in the pic and feed the straps through the upper hole. To make a waist strap do this:
1. go to thrift store buy an oversized heavy duty leather belt.
2. attach the wooden frame to your backpack and put it on yourself. put the new belt on too.
3. have someone mark on the belt where the wooden prongs of the Y branch on the frame touch the belt.
4. punch 2 holes on either side of each mark.
5. notch the wood where it touches the belt.
6. paracord the dogshit out of the belt to the prongs.
7. load your bag with 40lbs of gear and go in woods.
8. realize this sucks and you wasted your time because its super uncomfortable.
