Welp I got to marathon smoke 3 new tobaccos today.
Some quick and dirty notes from a first bowl of each:
1. Fusiliers Ration seems pretty damn special. Kind of a sweet tasting Latakia with a hint of incense. Ill be buying more of this Im certain. Rubs out easily and smokes well.
2. Star of The East: I wanted the flake but this is what was in stock when I purchased. Great, heavy Latakia blend. I anticipate smoking this one regularly. If you like Latakia, get this sucker.
3. RO Fire Storm: of these blends, this is the most...intriguing? I love dark fired Kentucky but Virginias dont really do it for me usually. However this blend seems like it has more to it. The Kentucky came throug in the latter half and the Virginias were more discernable than most are for me. Sweet, then spicy, then rich. At the same time, if this makes sense, I feel lik I was missing some of it. The cob I used is one I smoke jusr about anything from, and my only dedicated pipes are for English and Balkan smokes. In fact on one puff I know it was ghosting. So, I will likely set this one aside mostly until I purchase another pipe which will probably become a Virginia pipe. If you like Virginia and Perique, give this guy a go. Amazing tin note.
Awakened Elder ive already been in to but was hoping to finish with. Sadly I was interrupted.
